So Hum breathing combines pranayama with visualization and an internal mantra. So Hum translates to “I am”. You think “So” on the inhale and “Hum” on the exhale while bringing your awareness to the movement of your breath. The breath starts about eight inches from your nose. Imagine it traveling to the center of your brain and then down to your solar plexus. On the exhale you visualize the movement of the breath in reverse.
